Dottridge, Mike. (2010). In Pursuit of Good Practice in Responses to Child Trafficking: Experiences from Latin America, Southeast Europe and Southeast Asia.56 p. This publication from Terre des Hommes International Federation and Stichting Terre des Hommes shares the good practices in response to child trafficking drawn from a project entitled ‘Enhancing capacity to address trafficking in especially children from human rights perspective in Southeast Asia, Southeast Europe and Latin America’ co-financed by European Commission and implemented by a consortium of NGOs, comprising five Terre des Hommes organisations and eight other partner organisations in twelve countries from three regions over three years. This study was compiled by Mike Dottridge, and independent consultant, who in this report discusses about the activities of the project which can be categorized as “good practice” and has also come up with recommendations for the organisations involved and other relevant stakeholders for possible future activities. http://www.childtrafficking.com |

Dottridge, M. (2008). Child Trafficking for Sexual Purposes. 98 p. A contribution of ECPAT International to the World Congress III against sexual exploitation of children and adolescents, Brazil. “The paper reviews a variety of methods to prevent children from being trafficked. It reports on the findings of reviews that have expressed reservations about the effectiveness of awareness raising activities. The paper stresses the importance of efforts to identify the specific factors that make some children disproportionately more likely to be trafficked than others. Doing so makes it possible to focus prevention efforts on particular children. With respect to a variety of specific measures to stop children from being trafficked, the paper raises questions about how to maintain an appropriate balance between protecting children from abuse and enabling them to exercise their rights.” http://www.ecpat.net/WorldCongressIII/PDF/Publications/Trafficking/Thematic_Paper_Trafficking_ENG.pdf |

Dottridge, M. (2008).
